spanning 445 years found in SE China

A dried male corpse lies in the coffin
discovered in a grotto of Jixi Village of Shancheng Town,
Taining County in southeast China's Fujian Province, April 17,
2008. The corpse has spanned 445 years, according to its
tombstone which dated the year 1554, within the time of Emperor
Jiajing, the 12th Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) emperor. Local
authority there decided to conserve the corpse on the spot.
